On our second visit to Mazazu Crepe, we were there to pick up a small dessert after dinner.  We had a pretty big dinner so I couldn’t eat a dessert crepe.  Instead, I opted to get a Japanese soft serve waffle cone.  The server told us that there were three flavours to chose from.  There is vanilla, green tea and mix.  Guess which flavour I went with?  Hehe.  Vanilla is too common….green tea is too bitter….but mix was just right!  Hehe.

And here it is!  My green tea and vanilla mixed waffle cone.  It was delicious.  It wasn’t too sweet!  I’ve had match green tea bbt before and I’ve always been afraid that macha green tea is too bitter.  However, this wasn’t the case at all!  I think the vanilla ice cream mixed in with the matcha green tea helped to balance it very well.  You can get the soft serve in a waffle cone or cup.  The waffle cone that we chose was good.  It was crispy and pretty fresh.  This ice cream was $3.26 in total.

It was a great way to wrap up a delicious dinner.

After reviewing Cafe Crepe in downtown Vancouver, we wanted to compare it with Mazazu crepe at Aberdeen Center.  This place is located in the food court and is branded as a Japanese style crepe place.  Crepes make a wonderful sweet snack between meals!  I was so excited to hear that this place opened at Aberdeen.  After starring at the menu, we decided to order the strawberry cheesecake crepe.  I love cheesecake and my favorite so far is still Cheesecake Factory in the US. Qoola!!  SOOOOO GOOD!  That about sums it all up.  It was such a great experience that I crave it constantly now.  I ordered the W.  It has green tea yogurt with blue blueberries and mochi balls.  It was a combination of all my favorite things.  I was in love with it instantly.  I ordered the small but it ended up bigger than I thought.  So if you are eating one by yourself I would recommend the small size.  They have different flavor yogurt.  There is chocolate, vanilla, green tea, and lychee (the new flavor).  The toppings were all very fresh.  I highly recommend adding mochi balls because they are soooo good. Mochi balls are basically a Japanese rice cake made of glutinous rice pounded into paste and molded into tiny little balls.

As for the price, I ended up paying 5 something for my small W.  I think it was worth it because it was big for me and just tasted like a little bit of heaven!!  :@ The service was also great and they bought me my order to my table while I was busy taking photos.  They also have this recycling program where customers can sort out the trash and place them into the proper bins for recycling.  As well, the containers are all recyclable.  I have to say I came here without much expectations but was surprised by a great dessert!  Yummmmmm….I can’t wait till I go to Aberdeen Center again.
