I have always loved Creme Brulee~  It’s one of my favourite desserts.  That’s why I was so hooked on drinking the Winter Starbucks drink: Brulee Latte!!  Now that the winter season is over, it was really sad to see the drink go.  But I recently noticed that there is a new flavour for McDonald’s McFlurry!  This is the new creme brulee mcflurry!!!

This comes in two sizes….small and large.  However, we ordered the small and it was actually a pretty big cup.  Enough for Rockia and iPanda anyways.

The McDonald’s signature vanilla ice cream is mixed with caramel and large pieces of caramel sugar candy.  I really enjoyed the caramel and vanilla ice cream; but there were way too many sugar pieces.  They were pretty large pieces so you will have to chew them.  I found that the ice cream was overly sweet because of these sugar pieces.

As well, the caramel in the McFlurry wasn’t mixed throughout the entire cup so the bottom of the ice cream didn’t have any caramel or sugar pieces.  It was a great dessert overall; but you should definitely order the small size if you don’t like overly sweet things.  Creme Brulee is the best!!!

iPanda was having drinks with Koala Bear at Victoria Drive’s Tea Works.  I ordered a green milk tea with pudding but was quickly disappointed. The milk tea was average.  They had a good balance between milk and tea powder and sugar syrup.  However, the pudding was weird because it was still powdery.  As well, the pudding tasted weird because it wasn’t actually Japanese pudding.  What we had tasted like it was a weird flavour of jello.  The pudding ruined the entire drink.  Can you tell my disappointment? This is one of those rare situations where Panda didn’t finish her bbt.  Oh well.  At least we had a nice evening catching up with Koala Bear!

After visiting the Beard Papa’s at Crystal Mall, we decided to see if there were any differences at the Richmond Centre location.  This store is not located at the food court.  Instead, it is right across from Old Navy.  The entire hallway was filled with the yummy smell of pastry.  WOW!  If you can’t find the store, then just follow your nose!

Here are the other desserts that they offer.  My favourite is the fondant chocolate.  As you can tell from the picture, the fondant was already sold out when we visited.  So instead, we ordered something different.

This is the winter limited edition chestnut cream puff.  It says on the poster that the chestnuts were French; however, I really couldn’t taste any difference in the French chestnut and the regular kind we buy at T&T.

And here it is…the chestnut cream puff!  We had to wait a couple more minutes for it because they had to be specially made.  The cream puff had a swirl of creamy chestnut on the top.  They also added a dark chocolate covered chestnut on the top.

When I ordered it, I expected the cream to be chestnut flavoured.  But I was wrong :(  The cream inside was the original flavour.  So basically, we paid more money to order the original cream puff only with an added drop of chestnut on the top.  We were a bit disappointed that the cream was not chestnut flavoured.  I will definitely order my fondant chocolate again next time though!
