Ahhh~  Chinese food at Western Lake Chinese Seafood Restaurant!  I love the dim sum here~  They never skimp on the size and quality!  iPanda was here one night for a friend’s birthday dinner!  There were lots of us so we got to order many dishes~

This is the broccoli with crab meat, shrimp and egg whites.  I loved this because it wasn’t very oily.  The toppings were fresh and were a perfect match for the broccoli.

This next dish is my all time favourite: Spicy eggplant with shredded pork (鱼香茄子).  This dish is always full of flavour because the eggplant absorbs all the sauce.

We also had the deep fried crab claw.  The circular shape is made of shrimp which is then wrapped around a crab claw.

This is actually pretty big.  It is deep fried and the outside is extra crispy.

They have some plum sauce for you to add on top.  I usually add it on because I love sour things and the sauce does add a bit more flavour to the crab claw.

Ahem…beans!  Green BEANS!!!  I’ve never been a fan of green beans.  But these were ok.  They were stir fried with minced meat and black bean sauce.  I think they were a bit too oily though.

Guess what this is?

This is actually sirloin steak with three kinds of mushroom wrapped in a tin foil.  The steak is tender and cooked with garlic.

The next dish is the 7up fried pork.  I didn’t really enjoy this one because I’ve tried a better one at Shiang Garden.  This one was not as crispy and the sauce was too thick.

And finally we had a bean vermicelli with assorted seafood.  The bean vermicelli was soaked in a clay pot filled with a soup base.  Yum!!!

Overall, Western Lake Chinese Seafood Restaurant is a good quality restaurant.  The restaurant is always busy so expect for a crowd.  Reservations are needed if you want to avoid the lines a bit.  In addition, parking at the back is rare, but there is street parking available.  Their dim sum is definitely a must try~
